From Confused to Confident: My Experience Preparing for Cisco 350-701

When I first started preparing for Cisco 350-701, I honestly felt a little lost. I could explain some of the concepts on their own, but I often got stuck when a question put them into a real-world situation.

One thing I learned pretty quickly was that memorizing definitions alone wasn't helping me solve the harder questions. There was a lot to cover, and I found myself spending more time understanding how each security concept worked in practice and why one security solution made more sense than another in a particular situation.

The scenario-based questions were a different story. I often knew the topic but still wasn't sure which answer actually fit the situation. I had to slow down, figure out what the question was really asking, and then decide which answer made the most sense. Reviewing topics such as secure network access, threat protection, identity, visibility  helped me understand how the concepts fit together.

Once I had covered the basics, I felt I needed more practice that would challenge my understanding. While scrolling through Reddit one day, I came across a few discussions about Pass4Success. People were talking about the updated, exam-aligned  350-701 exam questions, so I decided to try it myself and see whether it could help with the areas I was struggling with.

The practice questions gave me a better idea of where my understanding was weak. Instead of just checking whether my answer was right or wrong, I started reviewing my notes and tried to understand why I had made a mistake. I also started keeping track of repeated mistakes. Looking back at those mistakes helped me see where I was mixing up similar technologies or rushing through questions.

After a while, I stopped feeling so overwhelmed when I came across a difficult Cisco 350-701 question. I gradually moved away from trying to remember everything and started asking myself why a particular security approach made sense in each scenario.

When I look back at my preparation, I can see that reviewing my mistakes and understanding the concepts mattered much more than simply memorizing answers. I have not treated the Cisco 350-701 as a test of memory alone; I am preparing to think through security scenarios with much more confidence than when I started
